We are pleased to announce a new initiative under the NOoSPHERE Arts umbrella.As an artist-run nonprofit dedicated to bringing art from elsewhere to NYC, we keep thinking of more ways to accomplish this goal! Our latest vision is NOoSPHERE Arts’ Residency Award, a grant program we hope to implement by 2018: Once a year, a talented international artist will be selected for a month-long residency onboard with us, followed by a public presentation of their work.

As a first fundraising initiative to make this happen, we’ll host an informal SILENT AUCTION of unique artworks by a selection of our international NOoSPHERE artists.

Rooftop Screening & Q & A

We are pleased to invite you to an intimate rooftop screening on the Mothership’s deck. Moonwalk with Grandpa is a documentary by our visiting artist, David Alræk. The film recently won no less than two coveted prizes at the just concluded Norwegian Documentary Festival in Volda: Best Medium-Length Movie and the Audience Choice Award
The filmmaker will be in attendance for Q & A’s.

PERFORMANCE ART FESTIVAL OPENING
ITINERANT, New York City’s annual Performance Art festival, will launch its 2017 program on Saturday, May 13th, 8 - 11 pm at Last Frontier NYC in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The festival continues through May 21st with the presentations of performances and public interventions in different venues in the city: Queens Museum, Socrates Sculpture Park, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Grace Exhibition Space, Panoply Performance Laboratory, and Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
